Parys Museum
The Parys Museum focuses on cultural, historical, and geological features. It is housed in the old magistrate's office opposite the Town Hall. The building was erected in 1904 in the architectural style of the short Orange River Colony period. The Municipal Council of Parys purchased the plot and building on 27 January 1948. Restoration began in 1981 and was completed in February 1982. The museum opened in March 1983 and was declared a national monument in May 1986.
